Sailaway takes you to Low Isles a coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef where you will enjoy sailing and snorkelling with turtles. Explore this protected coral cay with white sandy beaches and cononut palms, surrounded by magnificent coral gardens. Sailaway ensures your enjoyment with small number of guests (33 passengers maximum), excellent service and personal attention from the friendly helpful crew.

Sit back and enjoy the sheltered blue lagoon for over 5 hours with time to relax on the island or join the guided snorkel tour or take a trip on the glass bottom boat. A superb tropical buffel lunch including prawns and tropical fruit platter with home-made cakes. Choose froma selection of Australian wines and beers from the fully licensed bar before an exhilarating sail back to Port Douglas onbaord the Lagoon 500, a state-of-the-art luxury sailing catamran built in France.

The Lighthouse was built on Low Island in 1878 and was staffed by lighthouse keepers until it became automated in 1993. The reef around Low Isles comprises of 150 different species of hard corals and is dominated by about 15 different species of the soft corals. Living amongst the corals in this blue lagoon you will find a large variety of reef fish along with may green sea turtles which are sighted dailing. There are also a number of different bird species that reside on the island and you may encounter pelicans, honey-eaters, white-breasted wood swallows, mangrove kingfishers, reef egrests and seal eagles.
