The Cape Restaurant & Bar
Ocean Hotels Coconut Beach Resort is situated between two World Heritage listed areas - the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Little wonder that we provide a restaurant that blends in its surrounds so perfectly. Based on the design of an Indonesian long house, the Cape Restaurant and Bar enjoys views over the pool to the sands of Coconut Beach. It's a great venue for a relaxed breakfast, a lazy lunch by the pool or a sunset cocktail before a tantalising dinner. Drawing on the best of local produce, the Cape Restaurant provides modern Australian cuisine with subtle South East Asian influences.
Start the day with our extensive buffet, featuring an array of fresh fruits, cereals, juices, pastries, as well as hot food and healthy options. For the busy explorer, a lunchtime salad and sandwich buffet is on offer, with a lunch and snack menu for those with a little more time to relax.
The evening menu changes nightly to showcase the freshest local produce. Though underpinned by subtle South East Asian flavours, all tastes are catered for. A snack menu is also available for those looking for something light. Vegetarian and other dietary requirements can be catered for on request.
Daintree Retreat Room
Every detail has been considered to ensure a memorable rainforest experience. In the Daintree Retreats your bathroom (with bathtub) has a private view into the lush undergrowth, and your room with its comfortable daybed is surrounded by the soothing sounds of the rainforest. Generously spacious, with polished timber floors and elegant interiors, all rooms are furnished with stylish, luxurious appointments. Daintree Retreats also feature exclusive touches such as oil burners, CD players and airconditioning.
Rainforest Retreats Room
Free-standing Rainforest Retreats are true eco-havens, where guests can escape in the most exquisite tropical surroundings. Surrounded by lush gardens, each retreat has been carefully designed to offer privacy and comfort, and is perfectly positioned to make the most of picturesque rainforest views. Rooms are comfortable with contemporary cane and timber furniture. Roll-away beds are available upon request. Rainforest Retreats are fan cooled.
