Type: Great Barrier Reef - Dive Courses

This course is the first step beyond basic or entry level PADI certification. It will help you to develop your confidence underwater by expanding your existing skills.

Courses commence every day except Tuesday. Includes PADI manuals.

DAY 1

Dive 1 & 2 - Two pleasure dives to give you an introduction to diving on the Great Barrier Reef.
Dive 3 - Advanced Course Navigation Dive: Your instructor will brief you on underwater exercises using both compass and natural references which areessential components to competant underwater navigation.
Dive 4 - Advanced Course Night Dive: Here you will be introduced to night diving on the Great Barrier Reef. With your instructor, you will complete a simple navigation exercise before being given a guided tour. During your night dive you can expect to find sleeping turtles, parrot fish and a variety of other marine life only encountered at night.

DAY 2

Dive 1 - Advanced Course Deep Dive: During this dive, you will be taken down to 30 Metres, where you will be tested for signs of nitrogen narcosis, shown the effects of increased pressure and colour absorption at depth.
Dive 2 - Underwater Naturalist: Learn how to identify the main families of fish and the different corals and other marine life on the reef.
Dive 3 Elective Dive: For your last training dive choose from

Dive 4 - Night Dive: A pleasure dive

DAY 3

Dives 1, 2 & 3 - Pleasure dives: These last 3 dives of the trip are done on 2 different dive sites, and are your last chance to explore the Great Barrier Reef before returning to Cairns after lunch.
