Just 15 nautical miles offshore from Cairns in Australia’s World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef, Green Island is a beautiful coral cay which enjoys world acclaim as a tropical paradise. Discover the fascinating underwater world among coral reefs surrounding beautiful Green Island. Part of a protected Marine Park, these waters are home to an abundance of tropical sea life where you will see endless varieties of colourful fish, turtles, giant clams, starfish, shells, anenomes, eels, sponges and many more incredible marine creatures.

Green Island is an idyllic coral cay where you can relax on the beautiful white sandy beach or explore the walking tracks that lead you through the emerald island rainforest of the National Park. A coral cay is a build up of rubble and sediments from thousands of years of wave action surrounding the reefs. Seeds and spores carried by the wind and birds has fertilized the island and enabled the growth of plant life. Visitors can browse through the shops of Green Island Resort or make use of the facilities including fresh water showers , change rooms and rest rooms.

Marineland Melanesia is a fascinating walk-through nautical museum featuring live crocodiles and tropical marine awuariums along with an excellent gallery collection of rare Melanesian artifacts and historical displays.

This tour Departs Cairns daily at 9am & 11am. Passengers can choose to have 5 or 4 hours on Green Island to take part in the many activities on offer or simply relax on the beach.

SNORKELLING DEPOSIT
$30 "Refundable Deposit" is required for the hire of snorkelling gear. Any item of value will suffice, credit card imprint, drivers license.

WHAT TO BRING
Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, towel, shirt to swim in (slip, slop, slap) credit card or drivers license for deposit, cash for drinks and snacks. Film, sunscreen and souvenirs available for sale on board.
