The oceanfront bungalows are built high on timber poles, nestled amongst the eucalyptus forests with magnificent views of the Coral sea, Double island and World Heritage rainforest.

Thala Beach Lodge is a privately owned five star luxury beach resort, situated 38 kilometres North of the city of Cairns and 16 kilometres South of the village of Port Douglas. Timber bungalows are scattered amongst a hundred and forty five acres of wooded headland and secluded beaches. It is one of the world's most beautiful private beach locations.

Swimmimg Pools - Our main Pool is located on the crest of the Headland that is the location for Thala's central complex. This stunning pool features waterfalls, spas and grottos for that late night romantic swim, or just to recline on the edge of the water and gaze out over the ocean.

Secluded among the gardens is the "Rock Pool" a smaller and more intimate swimming pool for guests looking for a quiet grove in which to relax.
